LATE BREAKING E-POSTER GUIDELINES

  1. Announcing Late Breaking E-Posters, the extended deadline for E-Poster Submission.
  2. Kindly note that the abstracts submitted during the first round for the 29th SICOT YSIM 2024 cannot be resubmitted as late-breaking e-posters.
  3. We welcome e-posters that are both new submissions or presented before. Kindly note that the abstracts submitted during the first round for the 29th SICOT YSIM 2024 cannot be resubmitted as late-breaking e-posters.
  4. This would be the final poster that will be showcased during the congress.
  5. Successful submission will be displayed on the e-poster panels which will be available from 5th to 6th October during the congress.
  6. Registration to the congress is required to submit your E-Poster.
  7. You may submit more than one E-Poster.

Abstract Content

Depending on whether your abstract is a Research based abstract or a Case Report, the body follows the following format.

Abstract Guideline

Please read carefully of the following guideline.

Must not exceed 350 words including title and references.

Restricted to only ONE page.

Font size: 12.

Font Type: Times New Roman.

Spacing and Alignment: Single spacing and justified fields.

Figure / Table: Up to 3 figures including graphs and tables, etc. are allowed in each abstract. (The font size within the figures must be clearly visible and must not be less than size 10).

Format Layout: 2-column page.

Margin: 0.75” (1.9cm) margin. If the abstract contains identifiers e.g. name of hospital in the text body, the authors need to underline them in order for the secretariat to omit them when it is send for evaluation.

File submitted must be in word document not more than 2.5MB.

Must The Submitter and the Presenter be the same person?

Yes, the submitter and presenter must be the same.

Can I submit more than 1 abstract?

Yes, you may submit more than 1 abstract. The account login you create will allow you to submit multiple abstracts.

Which email should I use to create the account?

When you create your account, the email you use should be the same email for all correspondence and e-certificates to be delivered to. For Malaysians, please use the same email address which you use for your CPD points

What happens if I want to amend my abstracts after I have submitted?

You may amend your abstracts until the 15th July 2024, after which you will not be able to amend your abstract anymore. The responsibility is on the abstract submitter to ensure that the contents uploaded into the abstract is correct and have been proofread for errors.

What Happens After Abstract Submission Deadline Closes?

  1. All abstracts will be reviewed by the SICOT YSIM Scientific Committee.
  2. The Committee reserves the right to select the abstracts relevant to the sessions and decide on the final form of presentation.
  3. The results will be announced after the 31st July 2024.
  4. All successful abstract submitters and award finalists must complete the registration process on their online account before the 15th August 2024.

Terms and Conditions

  1. The research work submitted must be conducted substantially by the applicant.
  2. All successful abstracts which are accepted for oral and e-poster presentation agrees that their oral and e-poster will be presented during the meeting. The oral and e-poster will become the permanent property of MOA and SICOT YSIM and may be read, download, copy, print, search and distributed; provided the authors are properly acknowledged and cited.
  3. Final poster presentations may have more tables and charts than the successful abstracts.
